Blogging is for those who are interested

Proletariats! Welcome to my blog from google. Life is a big challenge. Global warming is shortening the hunting season for the polar bear. As I recall, this past summer seemed to be the hottest (including high humidity) on record. Due to my lack of clairvoyance I cannot tell whether the upcoming solar storms will be severe or not. As a member of the 99%, my advice to all is to listen to alternative fm radio. The reason is this: their reporting is thorough, factual and informative. The radio dial in my home is set to WBAI 99.5 fm. http://www.wbai.org

In the meantime my quest for a centered inner self continues with the search of self knowledge and perspective. The ancient philosophical Chinese tradition of Taoism is quite an interesting subject. This female self is still a novice regarding Taoism.

Think of the late Gil Scott Heron's words, " The Revolution will not be Televised". My thought loosely interprets this statement as a change so gradual that it is hardly noticed. That is one way of looking at it!

HOT WATER OVER PAY

Last week I was reading the Community section part of the Parsippany Life newspaper (dated August 29, 2012) and one article in particular struck me with anger. It was entitled A Call from Parsippany to the Governor for Help. The article dealt with pay for a Dr. LeRoy Seitz, the Superintendent of Schools. Keep in mind the superintendents of schools make a very hefty yearly gross income. In these times when many of us have lost our jobs, are underemployed, no health insurance, our extension on unemployment has run out leaving some of us to go on welfare and or Social Security, Seitz still was determined to be payed above the scale set by the state. This pay was $40,000.00 above the cap. The battle began in November 2010 by the Board of Education. Only one member was brave enough to vote against this. His name is Michael Strumolo and he has reached out to Gov. Chris Christie for Christe's support. Intimidation tactics have been unleashed on Mr. Strumolo without just cause. In the end the Board had no choice but to refuse Seitz's contract and he, in turn, sued the school district. Ouch! In the meantime the Board had to deal with bad publicity and over $15,000.00 in legal fees (our wasted tax dollars).
In the meantime the poor have to manage with having much less while the "well to do" want more. This is greed, whether Dr. Seitz likes it or not. He is oblivious to what is going on in the USA and worldwide. I know because I am one of those unfortunate poor souls.
Yours truly,
Jane Ramona
