It is past 4:00 in the morning on September 11th. The year is 2013. My eyeballs feel as if they are about to fall out of my skull. The determination I feel in the dimly lit hallways of my mind command my fingers to type what is echoing in my thought processes. What subjects I find noteworthy are: The celebration of labor day, President Obama's speech, the mayoral race in New York City and the anniversary of the demise of the twin towers in lower Manhattan. Labor day is in theory the honoring the workers who have toiled in the fabric of our country. In reality, year after year opportunities for the American labor force have dwindled considerably as many manufacturing jobs have left our shores.
Mainstream news reporting has shown an overwhelming amount of enthusiasm regarding the election results for mayor of New York City. They credit the democratic forerunner for his idea of using his son to promote what his father stands for and what he plans to do for New York City.
President Obama's speech seemed rather baffling. If Syria carries out another inhumane act, then the USA will retaliate with "a military strike". What do we have a United Nations for?
Today is the anniversary of an unbelievable tragic event which took place in lower Manhattan. I need not say more.
In my closing I would like to mention that the weather forecast predicted a hot and humid day. My advice is this: try to stay cool in this climate changed world.
Spread good karma whenever you can.
